Our Keynote

Doing Business with a Tier 1 Aerospace Supplier

As aerospace primes focus on platform integration, they are relying more and more on Tier 1 suppliers for major assemblies and aircraft components.  Often these Tier 1 suppliers are bidding on programs that are still in development with designs not yet finalized.  That creates challenges for suppliers within the entire supply chain.  This presentation will discuss the opportunities and challenges on doing business with a Tier 1 aerospace supplier.

Having worked in the University for 9 years, Dr. Simonet makes a perfect blend of R&D to manufacturing and process definition.

His presentation will focus on, “Automization of composite manufacturing for high volume automotive projects”. Topics covered will include the present limitations of the use of composites in automotive sector; increased interest to move from metal to composites; some specific details on the machine designed and developed internally.
